But I believe many others who have been following the rice pledging scheme in general and the fake G-to-G rice deals in particular, will share my sentiment. The fake G-to-G rice deals which took place during the government of Yingluck Shinawatra were the most outrageous of all the irregularities connected to the government's controversial rice pledging scheme. A government panel led by Supa Piyajitti to assess the damage caused by the rice pledging scheme estimated the loss from these fictitious G-to-G rice deals at approximately 20 billion baht. Altogether, 21 people, including Mr Boonsong and some Chinese businessmen, are facing the music after the National Anti-Corruption Commission faulted them for being involved in the fake G-to-G rice deals. The rice scheme saga is not over yet.
